Wells Interiors x Christie’s Auction House

We are delighted to be part of Christie’s ‘Classics Week’ in London. Teaming up with Fromental, we installed their hand-painted and embroidered Paradiso and Nandina designs which made the perfect backdrop for the ancient antiques.

Watch our Reel and see the making of the installation HERE.

Featuring a Roman marble head of Bacchus, a black-figured Tyrrhenian neck amphora from circa 560-550 B.C. and an Egyptian bronze cat worth £50,000 – £80,000, among much more, it is a feast for the eyes! If you’re in London this week, be sure to pop down.

Working closely with the team at Christie’s, six of our installers including our founder, Mick Wells, completed the work over two days getting the Old Masters room ready in time for the exhibition to open to the public.

Mick said…
“It was an honour to work at the great auction house that is Christie’s, in the heart of London. We prepped the walls in the lead up to the installation as best we could, taking into account the small window for installing. The two Fromental designs, one of which went exclusively on a floating wall in the middle of the room, went up really well and we were delighted with the result. From a team perspective, it was great to be all working together in the same room, problem solving and working cohesively. That’s what it’s all about at Wells Interiors.”
