We ask at the start of the job if there is a MCD (main contractor discount) and if there is any retention. If there is, we ask what the percentage is. MCD is normally between 2-3% and retention is normally between 3-5%. And that would go on the bill at the end, but you are never guaranteed it.

It’s important to remember when calculating m2 rates it’s based on the wallpaper quantity not the wall square meterage. The reason being, unlike painting, in paperhanging you have to deal with the wastage, and you guessed it, TIME IS MONEY!
